Palace to part with Ben.

Palace boss Neil Warnock expects Ben Watson to leave the club sooner than later.

The talented midfielder, who has risen through the youth ranks at Selhurst Park, is understood to be a transfer target for several clubs, with QPR having a bid already rejected in the driving seat.

'We have offered Ben a new contract and a very good contract but my first impressions are that he wants to try something different,' Warnock told the Kingston Borough Guardian.

'He has gone away on holiday now and will let us know when he gets back.

'But to me it seemed like he is ready for a move.'

QPR being linked with everyone now is getting a little bit annoying if I am perfectly honest. Everyone is inflating prices for them - deservedly, but teams like Ipswich - who don't have as much as some people think are being affected by this inflation. Hey-ho, if he's for sale, I may as well put Town's name to the player!
