Palace get McCarthy

Palace get McCarthy

Former Leicester City and Charlton defender Paddy McCarthy has joined Crystal Palace.

Warnock told the South London Press: 'I've chased Paddy for about five years and I'm delighted to get him.

'I think I can make him a better player and it's great to fit someone into our squad who I can trust straight away.'

He made 31 appearances for Charlton.

`'The move was a kind of sudden thing, a bolt out of the blue,'' McCarthy told Palace's official website, www.cpfc.co.uk .
