Palace miss out on Israeli international

Palace boss Neil Warnock has revealed that he made an approach for Chelsea starlet Ben Sahar before the Israeli opted for a switch to Portsmouth.

Neil told the Croydon Advertiser that he was keen on brining Sahar, who was on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last season, to Selhurst Park.

He said: 'We were in for Sahar, he is type of player I'm looking for -- but obviously he has joined Portsmouth.'

DOH!

We are bit confused at Pompey on this. Since we are 'promised' another top class striker to partner Defoe, I trust we are still waiting & Sahar is a squad player?
