'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Norwich 1 V Palace 2

A wonder goal from Welsh international winger John Oster five minutes before half-time that eventually proved to be the match winner put the icing on the cake.

Oster robbed Norwich midfielder Matty Pattison deep in the Canary half before racing forward to set up a slick counter attack he finished by chipping the ball over goalkeeper David Marshall from just outside the box.

Warnock raved afterwards: 'It was worthy of winning a game anywhere in the world and you would have to go a long way to see a better piece of skill.

'But we deserved the win. We played well as a team and defended as if our lives depended on it. As a manager I couldn't ask for more commitment from my players.'
