Watson Prepared For More Transfer Speculation

Crystal Palace's Ben Watson is preparing himself for the inevitable transfer speculation that the January transfer window brings and believes Palace have a stronger squad than this time last season.

"In the game against Southampton I fell and picked up a small injury so my week has been spent either in the gym or on the treatment table. There hasn't been much else I can do. Luckily it's nothing too serious. I'm hoping to be fit for the Boxing Day game against Norwich but we'll see how it goes.

"I went down to the game at the weekend. The lads did well. It wasn't the best of games and when Doncaster went down to ten men they really dug in and made things hard for us. It was hard to break them down but the lads ground it out and came away with three points.

"That's us unbeaten in six games and up to eighth - the Championship table is looking a lot better now, we're looking up rather than down."
