Scowie turns down Argyle

CRYSTAL Palace striker James Scowcroft has turned down the chance of a loan move to Plymouth Argyle.

But, according to Palace boss Neil Warnock, Scowcroft has "one or two other irons in the fire."

Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has captured the loan signing of Palace midfielder Carl Fletcher, and he could also make a move for Eagles` striker Shefki Kuqi.

Speaking to Herald Sport this morning, Warnock said: "I have spoken to Paul about a number of players.
"All of them are considering offers from a number of clubs, but I would like to try to help Paul if I can."
