Shaun Derry has Pleaded with manager Neil Warnock not to break up a promising side with rebuilding plans set to commence.
Palace's promotion hopes are now dead after a very inconsistent season has resulted in Palace going into the final eight games with virtually no chance of making the play-offs.
Boss Warnock was already said he will clear out the dead wood in the summer with player movement in and out of the club inevitable.
Skipper Derry has stated that despite the failure to maintain a serious promotion bid; there is already enough quality in the squad to launch a promotion chasing bid next season.
He told the Croydon Advertiser:'With the players we have at our disposal we are as good as any team in the league. 'On our day we can beat any team in this league - we showed that by beating Swansea last week.
'That is what is so frustrating with the way our season has gone because we know we are capable.
'I don't think we are necessarily looking for bigger or better players in the summer - we need to supplement the good players we've got at the club at the moment.'
