Will Palace spoil Utd's dream

Palace boss Neil Warnock admits he is in a catch 22 situation as he looks to spoil the automatic promotion dreams of Sheffield United.

Neil's Palace team stand in the way of Kevin Blackwell`s automatic promotion chasing side, and thats where it becomes twisted, just imagine if it was you, and your boyhood team had automatic promotion in their sights but you managed a side that hasnt done too well this season, and really you needed a win to ease the pressure and make everyone at your club finish the season off happy.

With second-placed Birmingham playing fellow automatic promotion hopefuls Reading, only a win for Sheffield Utd will give them any chance of stealing that final place.

With a Premier League place and a multi-million windfall at stake, Sunday`s clash has been the focus of much media attention this week.
Warnock will be in an be an uncomfortable situation this Sunday afternoon.
Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser earlier this week, Warnock talked about his emotions ahead of what will be heart wrenching afternoon.

"As everyone well knows it`s going to be a difficult game for me, personally.
"Everyone knows my connections with the club and that I support United.

"The spine of the team; the likes of Nick Montgomery, Paddy Kenny, Matt Kilgannon and Chris Morgan are all my players.
"Everyone that knows me knows that I want my team to win.

"My players will go into the game wanting to win it - whether that will be good enough on the day is a different matter.
"But no matter what happens on Sunday, I can`t win - I`m on a loser no matter what happens.'
