Hearts join race for Palace Kugi

Hearts have joined the race for out-of-contract Palace striker Shefki Kuqi.

Kuqi has been linked with moves to Germany and Romania, plus West Brom and Middlesbrough have also shown an interest.

Kuqi has taken a step closer to what seems like an inevitable Eagles exit after saying he does not feel wanted at Selhurst Park.

Kuqi told the Croydon Advertiser: "If a club needs you then they will call you. They know my number and they know my situation - but I`ve not heard from the manager.

"I spoke to [Palace assistant] Mick Jones when I was on international duty, but I didn`t want to disturb the manager when he was recovering from his hip operation. But I`m not going to chase them."

Hearts fan here - is Shefki Kuqi any good or will you be glad to see the back of him?

He'll do fine for you up there, he done great when he played last season, he was just a slow starter when he joined and it would the fans up, and he was put on transfer list for making a gesture to the fans when being subbed, but now he seems to be on form..........
