Kozluk rejects Palace

Rob Kozluk rejected the chance to link-up with former manager Neil Warnock at Crystal Palace and instead penned a one-year contract at Barnsley.

Palace even offered the former Derby youngster the rare luxury of a secure three-year deal but still Kozluk opted for the much shorter offer on the table at Oakwell.

Kozluk has settled well in Yorkshire, making 68 appearances in the two years he has been with the Tykes, and he admits he 'loves it' at the club.

'Neil Warnock offered me a three-year contract with Crystal Palace but I did not want to leave Barnsley,' he told the club's official website.

'It was the perfect deal for me. As soon as the season finished Simon (Davey, Barnsley manager) told me he wanted me to stay and there was never any question of me going anywhere else.

'Hopefully now all the speculation will be put to bed because I want to be here.

'I could have jumped ship but my family is settled and I am enjoying my football. I love it here.'
