No Rhodes to Palace!

Jordan Rhodes will not be joining Crystal Palace if his parent club Huddersfield Town sign the Alan Lee.

Lee is currently is discussing terms with with Huddersfield.

Rumours suggested the deal could involve Rhodes, who scored 23 times for Huddersfield last season, but Palace manager George Burley dismissed the idea.

He told the local Guardian: 'There is no truth in that,I think he is a very big asset to Huddersfield Town and I don't think they want to lose him.'

'Alan is talks with them this afternoon as a fee was agreed,it's a situation where there is an opportunity for Alan to go there and extend his contract and with these scenarios we cannot stand in the boy's way.

'I spoke to Alan the week before last and said I was keen to keep him but he came and spoke to me last week about it and we left it up to him.

'It's a time in his career where he needs some stability.

'If he does go then getting another striker in is something we might have to look at.'
