'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Norwich v Palace - Previous meeting

From Vital Norwich:

First half goals from Craig Beattie and John Oster gave the Eagles the edge the last time they came to Carrow Road.

Despite a bright start from the hosts it was the London side who took the lead on 26 minutes. Beattie beat the offside trap to latch on to a long ball from Jose Fonte, and coolly slotted the ball beneath David Marshall in the City goal.

Five minutes before half-time the Eagles doubled their lead. The ball fell to John Oster following Sean Scannell's tackle on David Bell, and the much-travelled midfielder did well to loft the ball over the advancing Marshall and into the empty net.

Glenn Roeder made wholesale changes at half-time but it wasn't until the 69th minute that his Canaries clawed their way back into the game thanks to Matty Pattison's diving header, but despite applying constant pressure Palace held on to secure maximum points.
