'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Freedman Delighted With Jermaine Demands

Dougie Freedman has said he was delighted by Jermaine Easter demanding that he start the Burnley game following his goal against Reading, but delight might not equal Easter's wish.

Following the Reading game, Freedman said that Jermaine commented he thought he deserved to start our next match following his goal and performance, and according to the gaffer that's exactly the type of desire and passion he wants to see from our players - non of them should be happy at not starting, certainly not when they show they are capable of moments of magic like that.

Speaking to News Shopper he said:

'That's a bang on comment from Jermaine and a great one to make. You've got to go to the manager's door when you aren't playing. I've got no problem with that at all, but I will decide who plays and who doesn't.'

The challenge is clear it seems for Easter, keep working hard, keep making an impact when chances come your way and you'll get more than your fair share of game time.

Showing the right attitude and the desire to want to play a predominant role in our relegation battle can only help his cause.
