Freedman Pleased With Vaughan's Determination

Manager Dougie Freedman has hailed the work ethic of James Vaughan and was more than happy to explain his substitution at the weekend.

A substitution that should be pointed out almost gained us an extra two points.

Speaking to News Shopper Freedman said how important James was to our season sort of getting back on track in terms of results recently by saying:

'James works very hard for us, statistics wise he is always up there. For me he has made the difference in terms of changing this whole season around when I brought him in. He gives us a real threat.'

Freedman adds that Eagles' fans shouldn't read too much into the substitution, he just felt that it was unfair to ask Vaughan to play another 90 minutes in such quick succession and he not only wanted to rest him slightly, but also freshen things up on the pitch and allow another member of the squad to play their part.

Jermaine Easter certainly did that.
