FA Likely To Investigate Post QPR

It's very likely that the FA will investigate the bottle throwing incident at QPR yesterday, although as of yet there is no official statement.

Speaking after the match, Dougie Freedman refused to condone such behaviour, although he did say that emotion can often get the better of people in the heat of the moment, in any case he said he would be offering his apologies to Neil Warnock over it.

'Emotion takes control at that stage. It's not good to see, I'll apologise for that behaviour. I don't condone it but fans get emotional and there is nothing wrong with a bit of passion, but I don't want to see bottles of beer getting thrown on the pitch again.'

Quotes from South London Today

It's a shame a momentary lapse such as this will no doubt overshadow what was a very spirited performance from the lads, there is again plenty we can take from the match and dare I say another referee on another day wouldn't have given the penalty, let alone somehow deciding the challenge was worthy of a red card.

It wasn't a clear goalscoring opportunity in anybodies language apart from Atkinson's, but at least Freedman has more self respect than Premiership counterparts who seem to prepare their rants against referee's ahead of the game taking place.

There was more to this than meets the eye. The majority of bottles were coming from an area that the police seem to wade into pre-kick off. I don't know if they were being watched but it seemed whatever the police did or said had no baring on what was to follow!

Certainly an unwanted distraction given the season we've had so far is probably the politest way to put it.
