Dougie's Decree: We Deserved To Get Something

Dougie Freedman was pleased to see us take a point against Derby today because he believes we thoroughly deserved something from the game.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC after our 2-2 draw, Freedman was again delighted with the spirit and determination of the squad as we pulled ourselves back into the game despite being behind twice.

'I'm relieved with a point, I thought we deserved to get something from the game.'

The only disappointment Freedman could feel following the game was that we really didn't find our groove and if we had've been at our best, we could've seen ourselves take all three points.

'We've never been behind at home since I've been in charge, so that taught me something else today - my players don't give up. I'm not disappointed, there were lots of positives.'

A draw certainly isn't a bad result, even if conceding two at home is unfortunate and confidence should be taken from the fightback. Not giving up and getting a just reward for it could well pay dividends in our away form.
