Freedman Not Cocky Over Moxey Signing
Dougie Freedman isn't blowing his own trumpet too hard, but he says he knew how good Dean Moxey was and his goal against former club Derby simply proved the point.
Speaking to the News Shopper Freedman said he thinks Moxey will prove to be a snip at only £400,000, and he's not surprised at all with how the fullback has settled in since his January arrival.
'Without sounding too cocky, I knew how good a player Dean was and he's only proven me right.'
Freedman adds the negotiations with Derby did take some time, so Nigel Clough must have appreciated what an asset he was as a player and seriously thought about keeping him - so Derby's loss was certainly our gain.
'I wanted to buy him and play him in the right role, I wanted him to get forward and express himself and he's started doing that.'
Now the trick for Moxey is to do that far more often!
