Youngsters Sign 1 Yr Professional Contracts

Two Academy graduates have put pen to paper on 1 year contracts with the Eagles.

Jake Caprice and Ibra Sekajja have both impressed throughout the Academy season, and have been given their chance to stake a claim for longer deals.

Academy manager Gary Issott told Crystal Palace FC that this was always a difficult time of year as the Academy lets go of those players coming to the end of their scholarships, but it's moments like this where youngsters have earnt a longer chance to impress the Palace coaches that makes it all worthwhile.

'It's always a difficult period for those coming to the end, but obviously it's a nice feeling when we are able to break the news to those that we have decided to reward with a professional deal.'

Speaking specifically about Caprice and Sekajja, he added.

'Ibra and Jake have worked very hard, their potential is there for everyone to see. This is only the beginning, they must realise that the hard work starts here and that potential can only come through with a lot of hard work and hopefully a long career with Crystal Palace Football Club.'
