Mahon To Add Experience

New loan signing Gavin Mahon believes his experience and guile will be a tremendous help to the Eagles as we enter our final games.

The loan signing from QPR told the Guardian that he believes he has a part to play despite being sidelined with injury and that Dougie knows exactly what to expect from him.

'There is a difficult period coming up which is a challenge for me, Dougie and the players and we are all ready for it. At this time of the season you need a bit of guile and an old head around the place - a bit of experience in knowing how to kill games off - I think that is what I can bring to the team.'

It hasn't been the best of 12 months for Mahon with numerous niggly injuries keeping him on the sick bed and off the training pitch, but he's happy he's back to full training and regaining a good level of fitness and whilst he also expects to be useful off the pitch he does think he's fit enough to play a part in the remaining games.
