International Break Good For Dougie

Dougie Freedman believes the international break came at the right time for the Eagles, as it's allowed some players a change of pace and others the opportunity to relax and rest ahead of the battle we face.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC ahead of the weekends clash against Barnsley, Freedman was pleased to be able to rest the squad and have a bit longer to work on the gameplan.

'I think the lads have had a good rest. We've worked hard doing preparation and I think the break came at the right time.'

Those on international duty were given a bit longer off to rest up, but Dougie says nobody has returned with injuries or knocks and the international lads have come back having enjoyed themselves so physically and mentally, the whole squad is right for the 8 games we now face.
