Dougie Hoping To See Bigger Crowds

Dougie Freedman was delighted to see Selhurst rocking at the weekend and he's hoping the fans will keep turning up in those numbers as the club moves forward.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Freedman said the crowd at the weekend reminded him of his playing days and he'd dearly love to see the missing 6000-7000 fans return on a regular basis.

'The fans were very good as they have been this year. It reminds me of when I played, those were the sort of crowds we had. When I came back as assistant manager it was disappointing to see fans had disappeared.'

Freedman adds that it's an aim of his to see those fans return and make Selhurst an even more difficult place for the opposition to come and play.

'It's an aim of mine to get back upto that level of support. This is a difficult place to come, and with more supporters it can be made even more so.'
