Dougie's Decree: Proud Of Performance Despite Loss

Dougie Freedman has said he was proud of the performance again despite the fact we failed to secure 3 points away from home.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Freedman reiterated that he was still looking up the table because of the quality of the squad, and he thinks our performance moved on a level again despite walking out without even a point.

'We looked solid at the back and created chance. I'm honestly not looking behind because I know - and I'm cocky enough to say - that we've got a good team. It's a bold statement to make but one from the heart.'

The stats of the game and the overall feel of it do back up Dougie's belief here, Ipswich were really not clear winners in the game and we had more than enough chances - as did they - to win.

The gaffer adds that he thinks our away block is probably psychological given how the season has gone but the only way to fix that is with hard work.

'We might have the worst away record, but we've got one of the best home records. We definitely deserved something from the game.'

He concludes by saying the players were devastated with the result because they were happy that their performance was enough to take the win, but we pick ourselves up and we go again - it's all we can do, and with how we are playing it has to fall into place on our travels.
