Freedman Admits Defeat In Marrow Battle

Dougie Freedman has admitted defeat in seeing Alex Marrow return before the end of the season, and instead believes the player should fully rest up for our next campaign.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser Freedman admitted that the clubs' medical staff had been hopeful that Marrow could play some part in our final two games but after seeing his ankle again swell up after putting serious pressure on it, the decision has been taken to allow the player the summer months to rest and recouperate before attempting any serious training.

'He's not going to be fit and it's very unlikely he'll play this season. I think the best thing to do now is for Alex just to rest it and come back stronger next season.'
