Departing Davis Wishes The Eagles The Best

Departing Davis Wishes The Eagles The Best

Claude Davis certainly didn't want to leave the club, but he knows these things happen in football, so he leaves with a smile and gives us his best wishes for the future.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser after discovering his services were no longer required by Dougie as he begins his rebuild for next season, Claude said he'd loved his time at the club and was sad to be leaving.

'Of course I would have liked to stay, I enjoyed my time at Palace very much. I want only good things for Crystal Palace.'

Davis admits he already has offers on the table, so it's simply a case of selecting the best deal for him as he enters the twilight years of his career.

Signing off, he adds.

'I loved the fans, if I had one message to them it would be to keep supporting Palace the way they do because they are the best supporters I have ever played for.'

Thank you, and good luck for your future Claude.
