'If It's Football, It's Vital'

James Vaughan Dream Over, Gardner Hopeful

James Vaughan has official signed for Premiership newbies Norwich City, ending Dougie Freedman's hopes of getting him back to Selhurst next season.

Speaking after the announcement of his move to Norwich, Vaughan said.

'I went out to do the best that I could for Palace. I really enjoyed my time there.'

Freedman should also find out shortly if he's had more luck in securing the permanent deal of Anthony Gardner after he was officially released by Hull City.

Gardner is on holiday in Ireland at the moment, but told the Croydon Advertiser.

'My agent is handling the negotiations but hopefully it should all be tied up soon. All I can say is I enjoyed my time at Palace.'
