It's being reported today that Dougie Freedman has enquired about the availability of Forest striker Joe Garner and Southampton winger Oscar Gobern.
South London Press are claiming an exclusive on the enquiries for the two players, but they certainly fit the bill of the type of player Freedman would be interested in.
Joe Garner joined Nottingham Forest in 2008 for £1.4 million, and brings with him a healthy strike rate for a 23 year old.
Southampton's 20 year old winger, Oscar Gobern, has been offered a new deal by the club, but will be a free agent come the end of the month. If Palace do acquire his services we would have to pay compensation because of his age.
