Lawrence Asks For Transfer Patience

Lawrence Asks For Transfer Patience

Lennie Lawrence has called on Eagles fans to remain patient, as he expects the club to be manically busy when everybody returns from holiday.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser our assistant manager said he appreciated that it looked like the club wasn't doing much so far this summer, but he expects plans to come to fruition once everybody is back off holiday, and he's hopeful that fans will like what they see.

'Nothing has happened yet, but negotiations are on going on several fronts. When we're all back at the club, it's going to be manically busy. You will see some movement from us in the next couple of weeks, be patient, we are working very hard behind the scenes.'

We've obviously had the Glenn Murray signing and we've heard about lots of links that haven't come off, but that surely shows work is ongoing in the background and as Lennie points out, you never really get a holiday in football thesedays as somebody is always on the end of a phone, or the internet, but these things do take time sometimes.
