'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Garvan U-Turn Sees Him Remain An Eagle

Owen Garvan has opted to stay at Selhurst Park and fight for his place after turning down a move to Brighton.

It's a bit muddled as he had agreed terms and passed a medical at Gus Poyet's club, before changing his mind.

Speaking to the South London Press, Dougie Freedman said.

'Owen has decided to stay and wants to fight for his place in the team, he's excited by the signings and feels the club is moving forward.'

Poyet however told the Argus.

'When you agree terms with players and clubs and then they don't come there are probably other reasons. I think you should ask Owen. If he says what we know, fine. If he changes the story then maybe we will come out and say what he told us.'

The mind boggles?
