Two Additional Players On Trial

Dougie Freedman has also invited Francois Marque and Antonio Pedroza for a weeks trial at the club.

Marque, a 28 year old Frenchman was recommended to Freedman and he decided to take a look at the centre back as he continues looking at options to strengthen us. The player has played for Basle is the Champions League but currently plys his trade in the French second division.

'I'm not a guy for having loads of trialists in these games he was recommended to us, has decent pedigree and I wanted to take a look at him. It's no secret we need a centre back.'

Antonio Pedroza is a young Mexican striker who Freedman has previously expressed an interest in, but having been on trial at Spurs with no deal forthcoming, Dougie moved quickly to get him to the club so he could have a closer look.

'I was after the kid in the summer and was let down and he ended up going to Tottenham. They ended up not doing the deal so I asked him to come down to us. He's only a young kid but he looks alright I think, so we'll keep him for the week and see where it goes.'

Quotes from Croydon Today.

Dougie's certainly putting the work in when looking for options that will improve us. It's also pleasing to see he's not limiting himself to age or local leagues when he factors in players. There will be bargains to be had, it's just a matter of finding them.
