'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Freedman Delighted With Norwich Win

Dougie Freedman was delighted to win our only home friendly of pre season, especially as the 1-0 victory leaves us unbeaten thus far.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC after the game Freedman said he believed it was a great test for the team and the performance was very encouraging for the season.

'It was a great tst for us, I was really pleased with the lads' attitude. We stuck at our task and we defended exceptionally well so all in all, it was a fantastic exercise for us and we can take a lot of positives for the game.'

Freedman also commented with how pleased he was to see so many Academy graduates end the game but he reminded fans of the need to be patient as the youngsters find their feet.

'The club is growing in that direction with the young kids that are coming through. I think the fans were fantastic, they were really patient, and at the end the atmosphere was great because the fans see these young kids coming on.'

Describing Pinney as 'a good finisher' following his goal, Freedman also admitted he did want to play more attractive football this season if he could.

'The fans are fantastic with myself, I'm not saying it's great football but we're turning it around slowly. The fans are patient and will soon see an attacking style come out more and more.'
