Patience Is A Virtue In Loan Market

Dougie Freedman has said he believes it could take up to a month before he has the chance to land his favoured loan targets this season.

Having already made a few moves in the market, Freedman has revealed that he's spoken to a number of Premiership managers who have told him that it could take up to a month before they are happy to let fringe players go.

Speaking to the Croydon Advertiser the gaffer said.

'There will definitely be some good Premier League players available on loan, I'm pretty happy with what I've got now, but we could probably use one more option in defence, but I wouldn't expect anything to happen immediately.'

Freedman adds that he will also be looking for a striker, but he doesn't want somebody who will simply provide competition, he wants somebody guaranteed to provide a return if Palace make a move.
