'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dougie's Decree: We Expected To Win

Dougie Freedman has said he is bitterly disappointed by the result against Leeds because following a performance like that, he would expect us to take all 3 points.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the game, Freedman was a mix of emotions.

'It's a strange feeling because half of me is proud of the way we played and the way we took the game to them, and the other half is disappointed. We expect to win when we play like that.'

There are plenty of positives that can be taken from the game though and that's exactly what Freedman wants to focus on as he adds.

'We'll win more games than we lose when we play like that.'

But equally even some of the negatives we can take and work on them in training.

'I was disappointed with our concentration levels in the last 20 minutes and it leaves us with defensive duties to be addressed, we'll work on it together as a group.'

The right sort of response for definite. The performance was good, it was just one of those days at the office and there's nothing to be gained by going over the top. Work on what we can improve on, take pride in what we did well and although days like this will continue to happen - it is football afterall - we just make sure when they do happen it's through no real fault of our own.

Dougie can be proud of our start to this campaign, we shouldn't let a defeat in this manner derail that.
