Ambrose Urges Zaha To Remain Grounded

Ambrose Urges Zaha To Remain Grounded

Darren Ambrose has pointed to the fortunes of Victor Moses who made the step up to the Premiership, probably a few seasons too early, as a lesson for Wilfried Zaha to follow.

Speculation was rife over the summer with rumours of various clubs, including Liverpool, being tempted on taking Zaha up a level, but Ambrose believes Zaha will continue to develop and enjoy his football far more if he stays grounded at Palace.

Speaking to Sky Sports Ambrose said.

'It's no surprise to see him linked with other clubs, but Victor didn't get much playing time at Wigan last year, although he's come in now. It would be nice to keep Wilfried here here because he is a great player for us.'

Zaha's time will no doubt come, but their are a host of youngsters who move to the Premiership and suffer through a lack of regular football. There is plenty to be said for delaying a big money move until you are older, wiser and more of a finished product.
