Andrew Delighted With Performance

Andrew Delighted With Performance

Calvin Andrew has said he felt like he had an opportunity to impress last night, and he believes he achieved that aim.

Speaking to Newshopper Andrew said of his performance and his winning goal against Middlesbrough.

'I felt like it was my opportunity and I had to go out and shine and do something to keep the manager's eye on me. It was probably one of the harder opportunities I had tonight. I saw the keeper coming towards me and I decided to loop it over him so yeah, it was a good goal. I think I've got the confidence this year and my game has come together a little bit better. I've stayed fit and there's a spot for me.'

Andrew knows now he has to keep his head down in training, and if called upon by Dougie again, he needs to replicate that form and show he is back to his best and he can offer us something different in games.
