Dougie's Decree: Point A Piece Was Fair

Dougie Freedman has said that he was perfectly happy with our 2-2 draw against unbeaten travelers West Ham today, and he believes it was a fair result for both clubs.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC it was clear Freedman was also pleased with our overall performance.

'The 2-2 draw was a fair result on reflection, two teams playing two different ways. They are a physical powerful team knocking balls into the box against our side who played with a guile and sharpness to create chances. It finished with a decent result for us. At half time I said carry on what you are doing, we were very good in the second half with some good passing. We got a very good goal from Glenn which our play certainly deserved.'

As is typical of Freedman lately, he took the time to praise our youngsters again who came up against a very different test today.

'Some of our players went into the game as young boys and came out as men because West Ham are a very experienced side.'

Whilst the goals we conceded will be looked at and worked on, a point against a physical Sam Allardyce side should rarely be sniffed at - especially given the age of a number of our team.

A good test, and a good education that should stand them in good stead as we move forward.
