Lee Hills On Road To Recovery

Lee Hills has stepped up his rehabilitation work after experiencing no pain in his knee for the last few weeks.

The 21 year old Academy prospect has had a horrific time of it for quite a while with injury, but it seems he's now turned the corner and he's focusing on getting himself back on track.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC he said.

'It's been about 18 months now and over the last 6-8 weeks I've not had any pain. I've been doing a lot of strength work on my leg, I've started running again, doing turns and a bit with the ball.'

It's too early still to be talking about first team action, but you can see his desire as he also comments that our start to the season will make it that much harder for him when he is in a position to challenge for the left back spot.

'Obviously you can see Dougie has really got us drilled well, he's got a lot of confidence instilled in us now so it's going to be a hard task getting back in but the way we're going, if we keep going, who knows what we can achieve this season.'

Never nice to see any player, yet alone a player that young, suffer on the sidelines for the amount of time Hills has - so hopefully he'll back in full training sooner rather than later now, and he get his career back on track.
