Wright - My Job Is Not The Most Glamorous

Wright - My Job Is Not The Most Glamorous

David Wright is content to call himself a midfielder and whilst he knows his role is unspectacular, he knows he's a vital cog in our success this season.

Speaking to the South London Press the 31 year old said he was enjoying himself in the middle of the park, and helping to break down the attacks of the opposition, whilst not exactly headline grabbing, suited him.

'I'm really enjoying it in the centre, I feel I've got a bigger influence over what happens by defending there and helping the team. I know my job is not the most glamorous. I break up the play and then give it to the boys who can really hurt the other side. I know what my job is and I'm pleased to be doing it.'

Like many in the camp, with the growing experience of the likes of Scannell and Zaha, Wright thinks Palace will have a very good season indeed this time round, as the talent in the dressing room is there for all to see.
