'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dougie's Decree: We Deserved That!

Dougie Freedman was delighted to see us take all 3 points in last's nights' match against Bristol City.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC the boss said he believed that we controlled large parts of the game and we're fully justified in taking all 3 points.

'I thought it was a game where we controlled most of the possession, had most of the chances, defensively were very solid and kept on at it. We got a break with the penalty, took it well and then hung on in the last ten minutes. I felt over the 90 minutes we were the team that deserved to win.'

Freedman was especially delighted again with the application of the defence, and he thanks them for giving us the foundation this season to push on and win games.

'That is what has given us that foundation, I thought we looked very solid today and it gives you more confidence when you know your back six are nice and strong.'

Freedman adds that for a forward seeing that, it allows you to try things you normally wouldn't risk if you're trailing and often, that is the key to breaking the deadlock and enforcing yourself on a game.
