Dougie's Decree: Another Good Point

Dougie Freedman was pleased with a well earnt point tonight and again praised our defence for giving us the baseline for a result.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following our draw with Portsmouth, the gaffer said.

'There weren't too many chances. Another battling display I felt, when you go through a small slump like this you find yourself losing games. Fortunately for us we are picking up points. Again our defensive display was outstanding, I'm happy with a point.'

Tonight marked our sixth consecutive clean sheet, and for the statto's amongst us, that is a new club record and it's also something Dougie was equally delighted with.

'That's it, as long as you keep clean sheets. We're picking up points so we'll move on from that.'

Freedman also adds that expectations lately have got a little high for his liking, and this 'slump' is bringing everybody back down to earth a little which is no bad thing in his mind.
