Dougie's Decree: We're In A Good Place

Despite our unbeaten run coming to an end, Dougie Freedman is more than happy with the progress the club have made this season.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Dougie was disappointed to see our run come to an end, but he wasn't angered over, believing we lost to two good goals from two experienced professionals.

'We have been beaten by two good professionals. I've played with Kenny and he's a top class international striker, he has proven that again today.'

What pleased Dougie though was that he felt we more than matched them as the game went on, and it really was the quality of finishing that beat us.

'I thought there were two even sides out there, but it was two wonderful strikes which separated the sides. I can take a lot of positives and we can be proud of what we can to at a club like this.'

Freedman also added he was again pleased with the timing of the international break, and it gives the players a chance to catch their breath.

'We have young players and it has been relentless so the break comes at the right time. We can rest up and go again. I believe we are on the right path for our long term goal.'
