Bitter Blow For Youngster Williams

Bitter Blow For Youngster Williams

Young midfielder and season starlet Jonathan Williams has suffered an unfortunate leg break whilst on international duty for the Welsh U21 side.

The full extent of the break isn't yet known, but it will be a bitter blow for him given his progression and development so far this season.

He was injured in the game against Armenia and left the pitch on 72 minutes following a heavy challenge.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Dougie Freedman said of the news.

'We're still awaiting further news. It's obviously very sad for the young man, but knowing Jonny, he's a very positive person. These things, set backs, happen in life but knowing the person and the family I think this young man will cope with it very well and probably come back better physically as well as mentally. You will see Jonny's character coming through and he will be back in a Palace shirt.'
