United Clash A Reward For The Fans

Dougie Freedman has said that every Eagle should enjoy Wednesday's clash after the last few years the club have had.

Speaking to press ahead of the game against Man United, Freedman said it was the perfect opportunity for the fans to enjoy themselves and put behind the worries and frustration of administration and our recent history.

'I'm looking forward to it, it'll be a good game and it's an opportunity for the fans to enjoy themselves. They've stuck by us for the last 3-4 years, with administration and relegation, now it's a chance for the fans to watch their team mix it with the best. Who'd have thought we'd be playing Manchester United in the quarter final of the Carling Cup?'

With Alex Ferguson already confirming that he will be drafting some of their youth players into the team how nice would it be for us to be talking about a semi final after the final whistle.

Either way it's going to be a night to relish!
