Carling Cup Semi Final Awaits Eagles

After a cracking performance tonight against a fairly strong Manchester United team, all eyes are on the draw for the semi final.

What can you say about the performance of the lads tonight. We attacked with intent, we played an open, good passing style, and also defended resolutely. Especially the final ten or so minutes of extra time where United threw everything including the kitchen sink at us.

Proud of the boys, proud of Dougie and there were enough names in the United teamsheet for everybody to consider them easy favourites which makes it even sweeter.

I'm off to toast a great and entertaining night. Seems Dougie was right, we had earnt the chance to enjoy ourselves!

Over 5000 happy travellers. 22 years of history rewritten. Beautiful.

Hopefully the injuries to Scannell and Moxey aren't serious, that's the only drawback for tonight for me.

But I bet they are both still smiling!
