Cardiff In The Semi Finals Of The Carling Cup

Crystal Palace face off against fellow Championshippers Cardiff City in the Semi Finals of the Carling Cup.

Could the final be destined as we avoid both Manchester City and Liverpool?

Pah, what do we care after beating Manchester United :-)

The two legged Semi affair sees the first leg take place at Selhurst in the week beginning January 9, with the return leg at Cardiff in the week beginning January 23.

I'm not a statto, but the question has to be asked. Are we destined for the final now with Cardiff clearly being the easiest tie in the Semi, and the fact we are through to the last four for the first time in 10 years?

Ipswich fan here. Remarkable achievement tonight, Eagles. Must be fancying your chances with a Championship draw for the semis - reminds me of Town's great adventure to the final four last season... only we ended up with Arsenal!

With the draw we've got both us and Cardiff must be fancying our chances of the final to be honest. I'd have still loved a Semi against Liverpool or City as to be honest, personally, I didn't see us getting past United today given the names they still had on the pitch, but we've certainly got a shot at it and some revenge to boot after the last game against Cardiff!

I'd forgot football was meant to be enjoyable! lol
