I'm Not Resting Players

I'm Not Resting Players

Dougie Freedman has ruled out resting players ahead of our Carling Cup Semi Final match next week.

We face Derby in the FA Cup third round before our home first leg against Cardiff in the Carling Cup, but Dougie wants to win both games, so won't be prioritising once Cup over the other.

Speaking to Your Local Guardian Freedman said.

'When you are in the business I am in and competitive the way I am, you want to win every game. I will be putting out a team I feel will beat Derby. Then we will move on to the next cup game and I will do the same for that.'

Dougie strangely says that he doesn't feel experienced enough to keep one eye on the next fixture so he focuses on one game at a time with the desire to win. I'm not sure that's a bad thing, plenty of team's come a cropper when they get distracted by the following fixture.

The Daily Mail are also saying that Palace have cancelled training for two days, in the hope of stalling the virus that is doing the rounds in the camp at the moment - but I can see nothing official from the club on that.
