The Pressure Is On Cardiff - Freedman

Dougie Freedman has said that the pressure will be on Cardiff to succeed this season given the money they spent in the summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports Freedman said that whilst the Cup may not be a priority for them and they'd be looking harder at promotion, he knows the pressure and expectation will be on them again on Tuesday in the second leg of the Carling Cup semi final, and not on Palace.

'I think they are under more pressure to succeed. Maybe not in this competition, but with the money they have spent this season. Their fans expect to succeed, they are a passionate crowd and one that has nearly got there. In the play off games they have always been a nearly team, nearly getting there.'

Freedman contrasts that with the expectation around Palace.

'We are just enjoying ourselves, no one expected us to be here, we are looking forward to a challenge that most people thought we would never see. At Selhurst the atmosphere is different, we almost can't believe we are here, it's sheer enjoyment.'
