Palace Chance Was A No Brainer

Palace Chance Was A No Brainer

Sunderland youngster Josh Egan has said once he knew Palace were interested in taking him on loan, it was an opportunity he wasn't going to miss.

Speaking to London24 the 19 year old said he was grateful for the chance Dougie gave him, and he really enjoyed his time with us.

'I wanted to go to the Championship and really test myself. Once I heard Palace were interested, I saw it as a no brainer really. I was thrown in after just one day of training and there was a fair buzz around the place. Everyone was coming into training with a smile on their face.'

As for his match experience whilst with us, he added.

'I got huge experience there, and I think I've come back a better player. I really enjoyed it, they were good to me down there.'

Who knows, maybe we'll get to see more of him in the future.
