'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jedinak Relieved With First Win This Year

Palace's rather strange winless start to 2012 was ended in emphatic style against Watford, and Mile Jedinak has admitted it's a weight off the players' shoulders.

Speaking to Newsshopper Jedinak said he was delighted that we had finally got the victory, and more importantly it had been long overdue with how we had been performing in games.

'I'm very relieved, we've had some really good performances of late but haven't been able to capitalise on our chances. We knew at 2-0 we had to keep the foot on the accelerator and we did that well. When you are playing good football you are bound to win a game and today was that day. Hopefully now we can kick on from that.'

On our potential play off ambitions if we can string a run together Jedinak adds.

'If we get there at the end of the day then fantastic, but if not then it's a good thing to take into next season.'

Sensible outlook really, the improvements this season are there for all to see so there's no way - even getting carried away slightly - that missing the play offs should be a disappointment. That's something to seriously consider next season now the foundations are more in place.
