Ambrose: United Strike Best Of My Career
Darren Ambrose has said his goal against Manchester United in the Carling Cup was the best of his career.
Speaking to the South London Press about the goal that brought his nomination for the Mitre Goal of the Season category, he said.
'It is probably my favourite goal, my free kick against Aston Villa is right up there, I also scored a goal for Newcastle against Bolton and there were a few at Ipswich that stood out too. But the Manchester United one was such a big occasion and it was even more pleasing that the goal was for the winning side.'
Ambrose adds that had we lost to United it would've taken the shine completely off the wonderstrike.
