'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dougie's Decree: More Wins Required

Dougie Freedman was relatively pleased with our showing against Coventry City but he knows we need to start turning our raft of draws into wins.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the 1-1 draw, Freedman said we had to dig in during the game after being clearly on top to begin with.

'I felt the first 20 minutes we really looked good, on the counter attack we looked as though we were going to score two or three goals. Then it turned into a battle of discipline and we had to dig in. Overall a draw is probably correct. Of course I'm disappointed to concede in the last ten minutes but I've got to give credit to Coventry who showed the fighting spirit that I believe might keep them up.'

Speaking more generically about our ability to draw games instead of killing teams off, Dougie added.

'We've got to find a way to turn these draws into wins. We're unbeaten since the Carling Cup (semi) which is a fantastic achievement, it's just about taking the opportunities, but it will come.'
